ginger's bio
Ginger Kolbaba is Editor of Marriage Partnership magazine, a publication of Christianity Today International. She has also worked on the editorial staff of Leadership journal, a publication for pastors; as an associate editor of MP’s sister publication Today’s Christian Woman; and an assistant editor of Preaching Today. She has been a columnist for Let’s Worship and has published more than 150 articles. In addition, Ginger has appeared on national venues such as CNN's Nancy Grace and Family Life radio.
An accomplished book author, Ginger was co-author/collaborator of Refined by Fire (Tyndale), a 2005 Gold Medallion finalist that received a starred review in Publishers Weekly. She has written several other non-fiction books: Dazzled to Frazzled and Back Again:The Bride’s Survival Guide (Revell) and Surprised by Remarriage: A Guide to the Happily Even After (Revell). She has collaborated on several books including The Five Sex Needs of Men and Women (Tyndale) to be released fall 2006. And Ginger has recently finished her first novel, cowritten with her friend Christy Scannell, tentatively titled Secrets from Lulu’s Café (Howard/Simon & Schuster), to be released early 2007.
Before becoming an editor/writer, she worked as a professional actress/singer/speaker. “It’s amazing how God lets you realize one dream—acting—to show you your real passion—for me it’s helping, educating, and entertaining people through writing and editing.”
She’s a pastor’s kid (both her parents are ordained ministers), which she used as a loose basis for her novel. She lives in the Chicagoland area with her husband, Scott; her Doberman puppy, Bella; her book collection; her husband’s inventions; and her dusty, out-of-tune piano.
